Buckfest 2024
Buckfest 2024

We are thrilled to announce our inaugural “Clarkston Buskfest” on Tuesday, July 30th. In partnership with Main Street Clarkston, Clarkston Arts presents an evening of music along Main Street in beautiful downtown Clarkston. Busking refers to musicians who play in public spaces hoping to receive tips from people passing by. Our “Buskfest” is an organized event honoring this street performance style which has documented roots that street back to ancient Rome. From 6pm - 9pm in downtown Clarkston you will find 3-4 musicians playing at various locations on Main Street including the steps of 2 South Brunch House, outside of the Northend Market Candlebar, Kinetic System Bicycles, and more. Each performance will last approximately one hour and you can bring a chair and sit for the whole set, or take in a few songs and then find another artist to enjoy. There will be 9 total artists throughout the night. While these performances are free, you are highly encouraged to bring a little cash and throw some tips into the empty guitar cases, hats, and jars that the artists will set up. Along the way, there are plenty of opportunities to browse the retail shops on Main Street and stop into one of the amazing restaurants in town for a wonderful dining experience, or grab a meal to go and enjoy it on the street. Clarkston is also home to a “Social District” which means you can order a drink to go from one of the restaurants and enjoy it as you walk from performance to performance. July 30th will be a beautiful night to celebrate local music, enjoy a casual event with your neighbors in the community, and take in all that downtown Clarkston’s restaurants and retailers have to offer. We look forward to seeing you Tuesday, July 30th!
