Limit 6. Minimum 3.

Learn the foundational skills of carving with hand tools and the joy of whittling beautiful useful wooden objects from spatulas to spoons and much more! Part two of this two-part class will teach participants how to safely use a razor sharp carving knife to shape wooden objects into a myriad of useful items. We will cover the many safe knife grips and movements that allow you to gain confidence and control over the knife's edge. We will spend this 2 hour class carving a handy and useful wooden spatula and with any luck, you'll leave with the bug of excitement to continue using a knife more creatively and safely in everyday tasks.

Take this class as a standalone or coupled with the axe skills class to get a well-rounded introduction to using these fundamental hand tools.
